Highlighting two recent Euroson Schools:
6th International Paediatric Advanced Ultrasound Course
|

|
On the 27 – 28 June 2024, 50 attendees and over 25 speakers from across the world joined together for the 6th International Paediatric Advanced Ultrasound Course.
Held at King’s College Hospital, London and supported by The European Society of Paediatric Radiology (ESPR), the European Federation of Societies in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB) and The British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), the course was two days of Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) and their application to paediatric practice.
Post Course evaluation showed an excellent response with over 97% of all participants voting the course was above average or exceeded their expectations. Standard of lectures also showed a 97.5% more than satisfied response.

Zagreb 5-6 July 2024
The course was oversubscribed and only 120 participants could be accepted to allow sufficient time for hands on with the 8 loaned Ultrasound machines. Industry sponsors numbered 6 which enabled registration fees for specialists as low as 100 euro and for doctors in training 50 euro.
Participants were mainly from Croatia but also Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Hungary. The Faculty was international plus giving opportunity to younger Croatian doctors to present. |

Topics covered included basic principles of US, US pathology of abdominal organs, Elastography and steatosis quantification, CEUS and US guided interventions.
Congratulations to organisers for such a successful meeting; Ivica Grgurevic, Boris Brkljacic, Ioan Sporea, Gordana Ivanac, Eugen Divjak, Mislav Barisic-Jaman and France Pastrovic.

EFSUMB is delighted to have been invited to conduct the Ultrasound hands-on programme at UEG again this year ... Ultrasonography for gastroenterologists!
The UEG Ultrasound Hands-on Programme promotes the role of a major diagnostic and interventional tool in gastroenterology: Clinical ultrasonography in the hands of the gastroenterologist. It offers basic and postgraduate courses on ultrasonography, individual hands-on training and special lectures in abdominal ultrasonography at no extra costs. The programme is designed for both young and senior gastroenterologists with or without experience in ultrasonography.
No online pre-registration is required.
Limited spots are available, and participation is based on a first-come, first-served basis on-site and does not involve any extra costs in addition to your registration for UEG Week and/or PGT.

In our latest quarterly statistical analysis, EFSUMB's web site and social media presence continues to go from strength to strength.
Our visitor numbers across all of our site data have on average increased by 9.4% in the last three months.
EFSUMB currently has over 9,500 active online members on our site who have logged into the members only area at least 6 times in the last quarter.

Our CEUS Series are webinars throughout 2024 concentrating on Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound. The first three webinars in the series have now taken palce and presentations can be viewed from the links below.

EFSUMB Journal Club has been rejuvenated with recent additions kindly submitted by Prof. Dr. med. Julian Künzel.
Contribution reviews from Prof. Dr Julian Kuenzel; Dr Helmut Prosch; Prof. Dr. Vito Cantisani and Prof. Dr. Adrain Saftoiu are greatly appreciated and will help to improve visitor numbers to this area and hopefully encourage more visibility in the future.

All National Societies are reminded that the next Board of Delegates meeting in Naples will consider bids to host EUROSON 2028. |
